Live CSS Editor

The Live CSS editor (which no other theme has) allows you to create custom CSS and see its effects live on the page, right in front of your eyes—no need to upload and then refresh web pages. The Live CSS editor features syntax color-coding for easier readability.

Even if you’d rather use a full code editor, the Live CSS editor is great for some quick spot testing to see what a rule will look like on the page. Simply cut and paste your test code into the stylesheet once you’ve got it the way you want it.

Blocks API – Create Custom Block Types for Your Site or for Profit

With Headway’s Block API, you can create custom Block types. What this means is that you can create specialized custom Blocks that might be used in many page templates by your self or your client.

Even better, if you have a bit of entrepreneurial spirit, you can sell your custom Blocks in the Headway Marketplace (also something no other theme can offer). You get the lion’s share of the cut from sales with a 70%/30% split.

Child Themes Like Nothing You’ve Ever Seen

Sure, other theme frameworks offer child themes, but Headway has taken child themes to entirely new places. We’ve partnered with major theme developers in the market like Press75, Allure Themes, Organic Themes and more to come to bring you ports of their best-selling themes as Headway child themes.

Not only that, but you can do something with child themes in Headway that you can’t do in any other theme framework: edit them like crazy.

This is because only Headway has the Grid Layout System and the Visual Editor. So, instead of being stuck with a restrictive child theme that offers little customization, you can go to town with heavy drag-and-drop block editing for certain child themes.
