We are excited to introduce you to our first 3rd party developed Child Theme for Headway Extend.  Cool Blue is brought to you by Gareth Chidgey.

This is a Child theme of Headway Base, designed to be warm and inviting, yet casual. The theme uses soft blue, black and off white with subtle highlights to give a professional air, which is softened by the use of handwritten fonts as headers.

Features

Header Block Extension

This adapts the existing header block to include a styled single tier WordPress Menu into the header. Great to give you two types of menu within your site.

Storyboard Block

A fully custom new block which will be available in the Visual Editor. This Provides you with a scrolling backdrop to a set of up to 4 slides. Fully customisable, including PSD’s in the Resources folder. This three level overlaid image set, is great for focussing visitors attention.

The Hero Banner Block

A fully custom new block which will be available in the Visual Editor. This displays a sales pitch inline with AIDA online marketing principles. You have the option to add up to 4 slides, each carefully styled to keep your visitors on the site by giving them a psychological push towards a specific action. Great theory that works.

Widgetised Footer Block Extension

This adapts the existing footer block to include three styled widgetised areas. Considering how many times I have seen the question of how to do this, I just had to make it easy for you.

Category Posts Widget

Adds a widget that can display posts from a single category, it also allows you to choose to include thumbnails of any given size and adapt the meta information to how you want it. This was originally a widget created by James Lao, however, it has been rewritten for use within Headway Child Themes and will not conflict should you have this already installed.

Navigation Animations

This plugin forces all Navigation blocks with submenus to display those submenus using a nice clean slide down effect. It works for as many levels of navigation as you would like, however, it stats to look a tad pants after the third!

Tabbed Pages

Add styled jQuery UI tabs to your pages (not posts), this plugin gives you extra fields in the pages admin area and populates the page with up to three tabs based on your entries. This is great for adding content for SEO without overwhelming your readers.
